Author: Lamont Francies

Dr. Lamont Ali Francies was born and raised in San Francisco. He is the Senior Minister of the Delta Bay Church of Christ in Antioch California and an adjunct professor of Sociology at Brandman University. Dr. Francies also works as a K-12 urban school administrator. He does equity work district wide and is a sought after speaker, conducting workshops for numerous educational and religious institutions concerning African American Student Achievement. He has also authored several articles that deal with the the Black faith tradition and a critique of Multiculturalism.  Dr. Francies remains an unapologetic advocate for Black students and families. He currently holds a Masters of Arts in both Sociology & Counseling. He also holds a pupil personnel credential in counseling and a doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco in International & Multicultural Education. Dr. Francies currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and their five children.
