it is so very tiresome to hear this dialogue. i could only get through 7 minutes of dr thomas’ interview. this is all about ‘him’ and how other black preachers preach. i have not come across 1 black preacher that preaches the ‘Word’. all this interview was about was ‘style’ where is CHRIST in all that? and what does scripture say about that? i have been going to a protestant reformed church for the past 7 years. and i have been a member of the ‘grace to you’ partners. yes ‘john macarthur’. he preaches the ‘word’. he has no ‘style, he just preaches the true word. i have been a supported of that ministry for over 15 years. i don’t agree with macarthur’s social issues,(for the most part), but one thing he did was taught me how to study the Word’. he taught me how to ‘listen’ when hearing a person preach. when i started listening to dr thomas’, i was ready to turn it off after the first 3 minutes. but i stayed a little longer. what he was saying had NOTHING to do with the ‘gospel’ it had to do with ‘him’ and how he and others teaching ‘styles’ are. befor i came to the church i’m at, i had been to a Pentecostal and baptist church. neither one preached the true gospel. it was about black empowerment. i almost got caught up in it. but i’m soooooo thankful that the GOD&SAVIOR OF THE BIBLE didn’t let me go that way. the only black preacher i have come across that preaches the word, is ‘tony evans’. but he got that ‘loud, yelling, using slick ways ‘ to get the point across. i could never sit in his church. but to dr thomas, this ain’t about you and other’s ‘styles’ of preaching. it’s about preaching the ‘true’ gospel, and that don’t involve you and your style. i’m soo very thankful to the only TRIUNE GOD for steering me away from the garbage that preachers like you portray. this ain’t about you and others style. this is about JESUS CHRIST. if the style of preacher ‘turn’s a person on, then they are not ‘saved’. call me ‘judgemental’ if you want, but i’m comparing it to ‘scripture’.
