LOVED this episode. I loved how you all tied it in with how we view historical events and through the specific cultural lenses. As an MK growing up in a Southeast Asian culture, I could take ties from this conversation and see errors the mission organization has made on the mission field. Mainly, being so focused on new indigenous church plants and Christian converts being brought into the organization’s specific denomination (Southern Baptist, Presbyterian, Assemblies of God, etc…). But so many traditional elements of these denominations only work in the American cultural context. As Christians, the Word became flesh in the form of a Jewish carpenter and we need to broaden our cultural scope.
