Good discussion, good for every Christian to listen in. I knew Eric BC (before children). Blessed to see how God has used you and we love to see you with your family on Facebook. You are in our prayers always. Nice bow tie too. The podcast mentions an article by a fellow who studied under D A Carson at Trinity. Can you share the link and the name. I’m anxious to read it. Thanks

Excellent! Pastor Mason’s comments regarding the black church were spot on. In some ways the blk church’s theology is more robust than maj reformed cirlces. Her theology makes room for justice issues not inspite of scripture but because of scripture.

Eric was dropping straight wisdom! As a former Impact Movement employee he’s right. I love what he was saying about the black church and its shaming. As someone who grew up in the black church and was disappointed when I started reading scripture for myself and found out all that I hadnt learned, I stuck with my church and went back to make it better. The black church is great. The black church preaches the gospel…when I first came to faith my “spiritual giant” was sharing my faith with black people because I knew they would repeat the gospel back to me, which is exactly what happened. My pastor is a Dallas Theological grad, he preaches the gospel, I came to faith through his teaching, I realize not everyone has the straight forward teaching but dont say that the black church is lacking in some way in comparison….its not, it just does it different
