As a product of a rare majority black, Christian school who currently teaches in a Christian school within a white ethnocentric ministry in Indonesia, I have been on a mission to figure out this race issue for the sake of my own sanity and salvation. Thank you!

My major is education & taking the courses I realize that the system isn’t what it used to be. I had to make a lesson plan on how to introduce homosexuality to the 1st graders. You can’t pull your children out of these particular lessons because they said you will create “ignorant children who will become “bullies” “. In that case we really have to do a better job of making a Christian education accessible for all children even for children who have disabilities. Public education isn’t awful but, if you aren’t a parent who is ready to defend your faith to the school system ( especially in more liberal states) then go for the Private or Home school option.

My opinion on this particular discussion: I strongly disagree with the notion that a Christian should only be surrounded with a “Christian education”. There are a plethora of Christians who attend public school, and they turn out fine.
