Tim Keller On Preaching

Jemar Tisby

Pastor Tim Keller’s spiritual fingerprints mark a generation of preachers. The leader of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan plunged his hands into the heart of the postmodern worldview and pulled them back dripping with insider knowledge. That knowledge led him to fashion his messages about Jesus so that biblical truths would pierce the hearts of his hearers and lead to gospel transformation.

After listening to his sermons and experiencing firsthand the impact of biblically faithful exposition combined with cultural savvy, thousands of preachers have sought to emulate Pastor Tim. But how does he do it? How does he craft his messages? How does he read his cultural context? How does he get to Jesus in every text?

Thankfully, Dr. Keller gives liberally from his experience. In a series of lectures delivered at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Tim Keller unfolds the methodology and mindset that goes into his preaching. RTS has made those lectures available for free on their website. Below you’ll find the links to each one. Enjoy.
