In this podcast, Pastor Smith mentioned that he is not frustrated when one of his non-black brothers or sisters sees a social incident differently than he does. Then he made an outstanding statement, “What frustrates me is when someone who is my brother or sister is insensitive or indifferent to the fact that I am hurting.”
This statement has caused me to do a great deal of soul searching. While I have long been non-racist, I am slowly moving towards being an anti-racist. I am quite confident that if I allow the Holy Spirit to help me be sensitive to the hurt around me, the speed of my journey will greatly increase. Thank you Brother Kevin.
